Evaluations of the Views Regarding the Closure of the Student Study Centers
Various changes are made in the education system and different applications are tried to increase the quality and success in education. One of these changes is the closure of the Study Centers presented in the Decree on the Law, which was published in the Official Gazette dated 9 February 2017. The aim of this study is to evaluate the views regarding this decision. For this reason, the case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The study group of the study consisted of administrators and teachers who worked in various schools and study centers, students and their parents who benefited from these centers in Elazig city center in 2016-2017 academic years. The interview technique was used to get the views of the participants. Content analysis was performed for the analysis of the obtained data. At the end of the study, it was seen that there was a difference between the views of the parents, the students, the administrators and teachers working in the study center, and the administrators and teachers working in the schools. Teachers and administrators working at the study center are required to provide study centers for closing deficiencies in the education system and for increasing the quality of education, and also to indicate that if the centers are closed, they will be victims of employees or students in these centers; most of the administrators and teachers who work in schools have stated that this change is an appropriate decision.
